A Community Workshop:
Exploring the Northwest Association of Networked Ocean Observing Systems
July 13 2017, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
Oregon Coast Community College Central Campus
Learn what NANOOS is doing and about the NANOOS Visualization System (NVS) with its associated products and services.
After presentations highlighting NANOOS products and services, we welcome discussion of your feedback as well as input on current and foreseeable needs for ocean observing in the Pacific Northwest. Topics will include recreational boating, maritime operations, fisheries (particularly for tuna), ocean conditions, coastal hazards, and shellfish growing. During the course of the day we will break out into small groups to understand your particular data needs, get feedback on our products and services, and explore any other ways we can provide a service to your user group.
